摘要
传统上，经济思想史研究聚焦于重构（reconstructing）发生在欧洲和北美影响范围内或受其影响的争论。
在全球议题（global concerns）（帝国主义、性别、可持续性等）正变得日益重要的背景下，全球维度与全球范围内经济知识的多样性值得得到认可。
本文回顾了史学研究如何处理非传统地理空间产生的经济知识，并指出了与多边史和全球史相关的主要方法论挑战与风险。
最后，本文以能源经济学为例说明此类研究路径的益处。
